As it is low-growing it will not snap or blow down in the wind, so it doesn’t have to be banished to the back of the border for protection. Glamini can be planted in beds and borders, pots and containers. Like all gladioli, it flowers richly and is excellent for cutting.

Glamini’s® can be planted in early spring. Plant in well-drained fertile soil, add some sharp sand or gravel to help the rainwater drain away below the corms. Place the Glamini® corms pointed side, up 7-10 cm deep and approximately 10 cm apart. During winter sprinkle with a little lime. This mini Glamini® grows well in a warm, sunny area.

Glamini Mix makes a great combination plant

This Glamini collection has remarkable, strong colours. You can create special combinations along your garden border. Put a group of Glamini next to Cosmos 'Flamingo' or Dahlias. A very beautiful, natural effect occurs with ornamental grass combinations, such as Japanese Blood Grass (Imperata cylindrical 'Red Baron'). This small plant is perfect for flower pots and planters. Plant Glamini in a pot and grow ivy around the edges of the pot for decoration.

The free flowering Glamini flowers are beautiful. Excellent for cutting and last a long time in a vase. Definitely plant a group of Glamini flowers in your garden. Pick the stems when the bottom-most flower begins to show some colour, preferably early morning. Immediately place the stems in a bucket full of lukewarm water and add cut flower food. Thanks to their sturdy stems mini gladioli are also easily used with oasis.

An extra tip: Plant an additional group of Glamini Mix two weeks later for continuous colour in your garden.

When the Glamini's flower buds begin to emerge, we recommend every 2 weeks to use a fertilizer. The stems are so strong and naturally sturdy that they do not need any support. Cut off its faded stems completely. It is recommended that Glamini are planted in a different place each year.

Glamini can be preserved throughout the winter

Glamini corms can easily be preserved throughout the winter. After the first night frost when the foliage has died back, lift the plant and cut all stems back to 10 cm above the corm and let them dry. Shake off the soil and place the corms in a box of compost and sharp sand. Store the box in a frost-free area. Attach a label with the name of the Glamini so that next year you know which variety it is. You can plant the corms again the following spring and this Glamini collection will reward you with its beautiful flowers.
