Plant Viburnum tinus ‘Gwenllian’ as soon as possible after delivery, in a flower pot or a patio pot. Choose a pot with holes in the base to provide adequate drainage. Cover the bottom of the pot with potsherds or a layer of hydro granules. Put fresh potting compost in the pot and put the Viburnum root ball at the right depth. Fill the pot with compost and press firmly. Water generously immediately after planting and put the pot in a spot in full sun or partial shade. You can also plant the Viburnum tinus ‘Gwenllian’ in the garden, before planting make sure the root ball is moistened well. Prepare a spacious planting hole and put the root ball at the right depth in the planting hole. The top of the root ball should be just slightly below the ground level. Refill the planting hole with soil and press firmly. Water immediately after planting.

The wintergreen Viburnum tinus ‘Gwenllian’ is a wonderful bush for flower pots and for the garden. The large, rather flat flower clusters are prominent even when the flowers are still pinkish-red buds. The flowers open white, followed by oval-shaped blue fruits. In the garden this bush can become rather large after some time, in both height and width.

Viburnum tinus ‘Gwenllian’ needs water regularly so that the root ball does not dry out. For an extra rich flowering we recommend using our granulated cow manure in springtime. Place the plant preferably in a sheltered place and protect it from severe frost. Unattractive branches can be cut back in springtime. After flowering, if necessary, cut back any branches that are protruding too far, further pruning is not necessary.
