Pruning of the Lemon Tree is not absolutely necessary. You may want to pinch out the growing tips to encourage a bushy habit. In winter or early spring remove dead or crossing branches. Water regularly in summer, rainwater is preferable to tap water as it is much softer. To improve the growth of the Lemon Tree, we recommend that you feed this citrus tree with our special Fruit Tree Fertiliser; this will give young plants all they need to thrive and establish. If the leaves turn yellow add rusty nails or iron sulphate to the potting compost.
